tarting in 1932, 600 African American men from Macon County, Alabama were enlisted to partake in a scientific experiment on syphilis. The “Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Negro Male,” was conducted by the United States Public Health Service (USPHS) and involved blood tests, x-rays, spinal taps and autopsies of the subjects.
The goal was to “observe the natural history of untreated syphilis” in black populations. But the subjects were unaware of this and were simply told they were receiving treatment for bad blood. Actually, they received no treatment at all. Even after penicillin was discovered as a safe and reliable cure for syphilis, the majority of men did not receive it.
To really understand the heinous nature of the Tuskegee Experiment requires some societal context, a lot of history, and a realization of just how many times government agencies were given a chance to stop this human experimentation but didn’t.

Something is going on in New York State...Oneida County Picente is still putting forth his dribble regarding masks and vaccines. We need to start asking questions to find out why he is continuing down this path.

Anthony Picente strongly suggests wearing masks indoors as COVID numbers surge:Since when did Picente's opinion take precedence over science? Something just doesn't feel right; there is a greater force at work here!
Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente Jr. said he is strongly suggesting residents once again wear masks indoors as the county reported 97 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, the highest number of new cases reported since Jan. 29 when there were 136 new cases reported.
Picente also talked about vaccinations, students returning to school and booster shot PODs (point of distribution), at a COVID-19 news conference Thursday afternoon, the first one he has held this summer.
“It’s not a mandate, but a strong suggestion, given where we are,” Picente said on masking.
Picente said he would look into a possible mandate next week if new case numbers rise or even remain the same.
Prior to Thursday, Picente said the county’s daily new case totals had averaged around 50 per day.
“Masks do work,” Picente said. “Stop telling me the science says otherwise.”
Is he getting paid to push the masks and vaccines?
Does his political career depend on his standing beside Hochul and the Democrat leaders in Albany?
What does he have to hide that he doesn't even want to listen to science?
